1302367 2012-09-20 09:30:00 On a daily browsing , i have noticed my internet wireless connection dropping out suddenly and i then have to go check modem , i have noticed lights and everything sound good (working) but i do however reset . But Still no difference I noticed .I also noticed i can see other peoples network but i cant see mine (sometimes)

By the way i have a latop , windows 7 (64) bits . I have also run Windows Network Diagnostics and result was problem with wireless adapter or access point .

I think the problem seems to relating it to phoneline . But still not sure .

Any suggestions , what to do next .

Thanks

1302368 2012-09-20 09:41:00 Who is your ISP? You could get them to check the line. What wireless modem do you have?

1302370 2012-09-20 10:15:00 If the wifi connection itself is dropping out, the phone line is irrelevant. Do you have another wifi capable device to see if it is just the one device with the issue, rather then the AP? inphinity (7274)

1302372 2012-09-20 10:46:00 Hey I have same problem here; Internet connection comes up with 'limited or no connectivity' whenever I try to do certain things i.e. sync Google Chrome, wirelessly connect our printer (HP) or visit certain sites...ordinary browsing is generally fine though and I can run internet programs like Steam and Google Earth no problem. Occasionally the 'wireless' light might go out on our modem but a reset fixes problem, however still cannot do tasks listed previously. ISP is Telecom, Thompson modem. Running HP desktop Win 7 64 bit.
Also when doing same sort of tasks on smartphone leads to same result...

Any suggestions?

Cheers.

1302374 2012-09-20 11:33:00 So can you say at the same time, the cellphone is great but the computer is poor?
Have you used the laptop elsewhere with wifi and it's good?

Re: the other dude of limited connectivity. WinXP is it? Maybe you want to follow a guide like this but choose the wireless card and assign IP manually than automatic, see if that helps.
Have access to another router?
How old is the computer?
I had issues with a old P3 computer, when replaced with a 8yr old P4 problems went away, the wifi card was also new.

Not sure if it helps but turn off Windows Firewall.

1302375 2012-09-20 22:26:00 Windows 7 64 bit. Cool thanks will try that later. Computer is desktop, and relatively new (about 1.5yrs old) Filthygamer (16897)
1302376 2012-09-20 22:45:00 Well IMO the reality is just that you try diff stuff like try a diff router if it works incase the router you have is faulty .., then perhaps use static IP and turn off the FW then perhaps try a diff Wifi card or USB Wifi ..... It could be down to hardware issue, driver issue, or simply Windows issue or Service Pack issue. Nomad (952)
