| 1278854 | 2012-06-01 03:36:00 | IF it plays in Upsidedown Land, by all means try to see it . We saw all three chapters on The History Channel ( . wikipedia . org/wiki/The_History_Channel" target="_blank">en . wikipedia . org) here in The States, but I'm not sure it will get to youse guys from that channel which is likely just a US station . Maybe it's already there::: History was launched on January 1, 1995 (as The History Channel) . [1] The channel is owned by A&E Television Networks, a joint venture of Hearst Corporation, Disney-ABC Television Group (The Walt Disney Company) and NBCUniversal (Comcast/General Electric),[2] and operates, in various forms, in Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Ireland, Israel, Spain, Poland, Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, Serbia, South Africa and Latin America . The network was also available in South Asia under a deal between STAR TV and AETN International until November 21, 2008 . The channel has consistently produced prime time ratings in the U . S . comparable to or higher than the A&E Network itself . [citation needed] On February 16, 2008, a new logo was launched on the flagship American network . While keeping their trademark "H", the triangle shape on the left acts as a play button for animation and fly-outs during commercials and shows . On March 20, 2008, The History Channel dropped the "The" and "Channel" parts of its name to become simply "History" . [3] I know it's available on DVDs, but it might be on your local TV channel at some time in the future . It's all about a pig . Well --- that's where it started, but it was a huge inter-family war that killed a lot of men . women and children on both sides of their territories . Here's a Wikilink to the production of the TV Miniseries::: . wikipedia . org/wiki/Hatfields_%26_McCoys_%28TV_miniseries%29" target="_blank">en . wikipedia . org And now a Wiki link to the facts as they are 'officially' known::: . wikipedia . org/wiki/Hatfields_%26_McCoys" target="_blank">en . wikipedia . org These families are incorrectly tainted with the moniker: 'Red Necks', when in reality they were rough individualistic frontiersmen and stout explorers who were politically divided and sworn to allegiance to either the Confederate or The Union armies, where they killed each other with aplomb and license of (questionable) authority: two warring nations . |

| 1278860 | 2012-06-06 10:18:00 | By the end of episode 2 I'd lost count of the number of bodies :) Now following on the heels of The History Channel production a film has been released: www.imdb.com I read somewhere that more ammunition has been expended in westerns than in WW2, maybe that was a bit of exaggeration  |

| 1278861 | 2012-06-06 13:49:00 | I haven't seen the second movie, but the (1) review of it says it is 180º in story line from the first that it was confusing . I think the 1st version is closer to the true story, as the WIKI said so and there are a lot of historians who say the same thing . Having lived south of the Mason/Dixon myself for a while, I know a lot of the lore about the battles, and yes- there were a lot of dead bodies and the hate was intense between the two tribes . But considering where one lived, the story would be colored to make the other guys seem to be the worst culprits . Interesting that youse guys are getting to see an American legend on your tellies . Did you know that in most situations, the settlers and other 'whites' in a battle with the Indians actually fared a lot worse that has been depicted? The Indians were much better shots and killed high numbers of the invasive wagon trains, settlers, farmers and military personnel? |
