| 1278688 | 2012-05-31 13:58:00 | Doing a bit of research here - what's your favorite magazine ??? And why ? . My is PC authority (AU) . It is because when they do review products say Android , i really enjoyed the whole article . So yes in some case , they are slightly better than PC World NZ . And for what I pay , it is a good value . Though on bad said I find that they don't review much games , or gadgets which PC World NZ takes the cake . Looking at APC , it's hard to comment but yeah , they look to be for IT Pros , and for new people . They don't have glossy pages like PC Authority or easy to understand sometimes but I like that they have less ads , and good software in there DVD section , so yeah it is worth for what I pay but yeah , I wish they had glossy pages . A great range of content, all science and fact based, no commercial bias to things (unlike Popular Science, which is just about selling tech toys, and is total garbage). That is also where so many PC mags go astray. They ditch the factual reporting in favour of pushing the latest tech toys, and are basically advertorials. |
