TVNZ probably won't even show it or mentioned it on the TV1 news tonight.
:)

Much as I like to clobber TVNZ at any chance, I must defend them here: they did mention it last night, the usual 5 second clip.

What makes it stick in my mind was their ludicrous claim that Heather Duplicey Allan [sic] - whatever her name is - "flew the Dreamliner from Sydney to Auckland today courtesy of Air New Zealand and Boeing."

TVNZ must have taken notice of my recommendation a month or so that reporters be trained to at least first solo level before letting them loose on reporting aviation matters, although first solo on a two seat trainer is a long way to the left hand seat on a mega $ state of the art Boeing is a bit OT, I think.

New flash - that intrepid aviator / weather reader, Jim Hickey just flashed an image of the 77 touching down, so TV1 isn't all that bad.

1278339 2012-05-30 08:26:00 Anyone notice that the Air New Zealand logo appears on the plane after it touched down. It's not there on video 1 but is there on video 2.

Nice plane though. I saw the first one when it came it in back on Nov 12th.. Looks quite small when siting next to a B747..

Having looked at all the photos maybe they were cellotaped on and taken off before it went to CHCH..
