| 1277967 | 2012-05-28 11:03:00 | Story HERE (www.odt.co.nz) Geeze ... In my day it was take the old mans .303 Lee Enfield along to show and tell ... now ya can't even get play with plastic toys without getting arrested ... and at 14 no less ... Cowboys 'n' Itchy Bums long gone. Or is this just some sort of cunning plan to reduce class sizes and the Police making there point about needing more front-line police armed. I feel a conspiracy in the air ... |

| 1277968 | 2012-05-28 22:20:00 | This ( . stuff . co . nz/national/7004198/Paeroa-student-shot-in-class" target="_blank">www . stuff . co . nz) is just blowing everything out of proportion . . . Paeroa student shot in class . Last night Paeroa College principal Grant Aitken said he was very pleased with the "very quick" actions of the teacher involved and how calm the students in the class remained . "They were quite sensible in their behaviour . " A school assembly was held following the incident to inform students and counselling would be provided if needed . I'm pretty damn sure both the teacher and the students would have realised that it was a fake weapon when the first "shot" was fired . . . I'm now just waiting for the parents of the "offender" to sue the school and the teacher for "assaulting" their "precious little boy" . I agree that in todays PC world that it was a bloody stupid thing the kid did by taking a replica gun to school and doing what he did, but unfortunately, also because of todays PC world, he can't be punished by the tried and true method of canning the little $h!ts ar$e into the middle of next week . Are we now going to see the "gang" he is associated with taking reprisal action and doing a drive-by shooting at the school ??? Sorry folks . . . I think this is just media hyping everything up to gain a bit of market share . The next "Bill" passed by Government will probably be to regulate the sales of plastic toy guns to those over 21 and who have had several years specialised training and obtained a FFAL (Fake Fire Arms Licence) There is more being said about this "shooting" than about the two people found dead in South Canterbury . . . . Rant over . . . :stare: |

| 1277971 | 2012-05-28 23:20:00 | A balaclava-wearing 14-year-old burst into a classroom full of children and fired an imitation firearm at a fellow pupil and a teacher as he sought to settle a score with a rival. The boy - who had been suspended from Paeroa College and was due to face the Board of Trustees later this week - yesterday entered the classroom full of Year-10 students and fired a number of soft-pellet rounds into another boy's head and face before shooting at the teacher. www.nzherald.co.nz Toy gun or not, the way he did it was pretty serious, shame the punishment wont be. Hang him and his parents. |
