52943 2002-06-07 08:11:00 I am trying to repartition my HD using PM6.
My current HD is already partitioned 7.5GB C drive and 2.5GB D drive. This was done when bought from new.
I followed the instructions of the 'Wizard' but during the operation when PC re-booted in DOS, a message stating:- ERROR 58. UNABLE TO WRITE TO BOOT SECTOR.
VIRUS PROTECTION SOFTWARE MAY BE RUNNING.
I have disabled and even removed the V. protection program and ensured that the virus protection in the BIOS was also disabled.
But I still get the same message and the partitioning not completed.

Any Clues????

52945 2002-06-07 08:59:00 Hi David,

Check this page out. It might help: www.powerquest.com

It sounds like you've done the right things but perhaps another program is causing the problem still.

Cheers,
Rod.

52947 2002-06-07 09:22:00 Nice smile - just remember who put you where you are Pendragon . . .

So you don't want to know the solution to the problem when running PQ from Windows and Goback is enabled?
