| 53011 | 2002-06-07 10:06:00 | Hi, for no apparant reason my Philips 105s monitor is adjusting itself. A small onscreen display keeps appearing which shows the contrast settings with a + and -. It then proceeds to count down by itself until it reaches zero and the screen is black. If I push the + button it resets to 100 but starts dropping again. If I bring up the main menu, whatever is hightlighten starts moving towards the -. I have checked in the monitor for the - button being stuck in but its ok. Can anyone help? Thanks, Mark |

Failing that, check to see if anyone in your household has started speaking in strange voices, spining their head around and vomiting >:-) Callum |

If this is the case, it might dry out in time - or it might corrode away the switch . This would be fairly simple to replace, if necessary . Other possibilities would be a failure in the control circuits, or faulty joints or similar in the line or power sections of the monitor causing interferance with the proper operation of those control circuits . Faulty joints are again easy, but after that it gets nasty . . . Best of luck ! |
