| 52943 | 2002-06-07 08:11:00 | I am trying to repartition my HD using PM6. My current HD is already partitioned 7.5GB C drive and 2.5GB D drive. This was done when bought from new. I followed the instructions of the 'Wizard' but during the operation when PC re-booted in DOS, a message stating:- ERROR 58. UNABLE TO WRITE TO BOOT SECTOR. VIRUS PROTECTION SOFTWARE MAY BE RUNNING. I have disabled and even removed the V. protection program and ensured that the virus protection in the BIOS was also disabled. But I still get the same message and the partitioning not completed. Any Clues???? |
