| 52931 | 2002-06-07 07:00:00 | Hello, all, I recently purchased a scanner and after struggling to install some of the bundled software have since found it is incompatible with Word 2000...like I tried for a couple of days to get Omnipage Pro limited Edition to operate the OCR Aware in the File menu.I have since contacted the supplier and they agree that the supplied software is not compatible with Word 2000. Is this a common occurrence, to have incompatible software supplied and is there normally any redress?I must say that the 'drivers'(is that the correct term?) and the rest of the scanning software seem to be OK. Thanks.Bill. |

Unless you asked the shop and they told you it was or it was stated on the box that it was compatible then there is really no redress on the situation. A manufacturer has no control over the software a purchaser already has on their system so as such cant be held accountable. |
