| 53270 | 2002-06-08 12:38:00 | Somehow I've managed to get www.web-entrance.com as my homepage and despite my going to internet options and changing it if I turn the PC off then when it is turned back on it always defaults to www.web-entrance.com. How it I stop it doing this please? | Guest (0) | ||

I think this is the address but if it is not, Google will find it! http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ You will find this program useful for removing any uninvited adds and spyware that are troublesome and slow down your surfing Cheers,Kiwitas,;-) |

Next, select Start, choose Run, type msconfig, and press Enter. Click the Startup tab. In the resulting list, look for a command with either the word 'regedit' or '.reg' in it (the command found was 'C:\Windows\regedit.exe/s C\Windows\System\radB9819.tmp'). When you find it, uncheck it, then click OK. That's probably all you need to do, but to be safe, it wouldn't hurt to delete the file mentioned in that line. Don't delete regedit.exe - you need that - but delete the other file referenced there. More info here. www.spywareinfo.com |
