53189 2002-06-08 09:25:00 Hi, my friend recently bought Office XP Professional from China. (It's original, not pirated) he installed it and all the office programs are in Chinese. He doesn't know how to change the language to english. Could somebody please help us out? Guest (0)
53190 2002-06-08 09:48:00 All I can think of is selecting 'Set Language' from the 'Tools' menu bar.

All though I think that will only change the language for the spell checker.

53192 2002-06-08 11:05:00 Have you looked here??

www.microsoft.com

Looks like it may be a 6 CD set, with CD1 being the english version and 2-6 being the Multilanguage Upgrade...

Would suggest a complete re-install??

53193 2002-06-10 02:45:00 I have spoken with Product Manager at Microsoft, who is willing to help.
Have emailed you, to take it further. Just posting here in case you don't think the email is real.
Mind you, this could be posted by someone who isn't me. Like Tazzie NZ for example, just to pick a name out of the air.

53194 2002-06-13 10:54:00 Thanks to everyone who replied, my friend did manage to change Office XP to english by inviting one of his chinese neighbour to his house to understand what to do. It seems there is some sort of patch circulating around the net which changes the language settings for office 95-Xp. You guys were a great help, thanks! Guest (0)
53195 2004-09-04 06:08:00 I have the same problem. Do you know where to get the patch? mm2_nz (436)
