I seem to be having troble with my display drivers. Evertime I turn off my computer for long periods the display drivers become corrupted. It also seems to take a couple of times trying to reinstall them before they will work properly. I have a NVidia GeForce 2 MX 32mb Graphics card and am using Windows Me. This is only a recent problem (last week or so) and as far as I remember I havent made any changes to the computer. I have tried updating with newer drivers, have checked for viruses and have cleaned up and defragged the hard drive but still the problem exists. Everything else seems to be working fine its just that one problem. |

The screen reverts back to 16 colours and 800*600 size it also seems to have all these horizontal lines running down the screen(generally red). As far as what driver as far as I can tell its still using the one I had installed. Half the time the computer starts and windows wont even recgonise theres a problem, although occansionally it will come up with 'The driver file that displays items correctly on your computer isn't working'. But even when that occurs and I go into to systems properties and that states the driver is working fine (beats me). |
