53063 2002-06-07 23:32:00 I am trying to help out new immigrant in the country to purchase ADSL modem. I would prefer a 'bricks n mortar' shop so he can go in and talk to and inspect modem.

Do any of you Aucklanders recommend any shops out there that he could try. Service is very important.

cheers

53064 2002-06-07 23:47:00 Hey there sam, I would suggest getting it from Harvey Nornan, you may not get the best deal but the service is very good, I had a problem with my adsl modem and they replaced it even though i didnt have the docket or box. Guest (0)

53066 2002-06-08 01:33:00 Sam,

I recommend a place called E-One computers in Manukau.

I've found their prices to be amongst the best in Auckland. Only problem is that it's not always easy to understand what the guys who run it are saying as English isn't their first language.

Their web site (for address details) is:

53067 2002-06-08 14:02:00 You can also look at PB technologies www.pbtech.co.nz
or try compulink which I have not used but have had good reports from....and Harvey Norman is also a good option. As the earlier post said...the price ain't the best but they try to make up for it with the customer service.
