| 53387 | 2002-06-09 05:15:00 | I work in a law office that uses iMacs. Recently a document was emailed to us from another firm. The document that was sent to us was set out conventionally (i.e. typing from left to right) but I was required to convert it to two columns. I experienced the following difficulties with formatting. Automatic numbering changing occurring again in a later part of the document when it had been changed successfully it an earlier section of the document; fonts changing, bullet points appearing where there should be none etc. Does anyone have any suggestions to eliminate these problems? Two methods you could try (these result in increasing degrees of loss of formatting!): 1) Make paragraph markers visible and select all content upto but excluding the last paragraph marker. Copy and Paste into a new document. 2) Copy as in 1) above, but then Paste Special and select 'Unformatted Text' into a new document. |
