| 53276 | 2002-06-08 21:17:00 | Hello! I just rebooted, and found that some of my desktop icons have altered themselves, this has happened before. Have a look here if you wish. www.something.net.nz Notable is that the recycyle bin has borrowed the icon from a photoshop document. Any ideas why this is happening? |

To fix this problem delete the ShellIconCache file and reboot your pc. The file is recreated afresh. Note the file is a system hidden file and is located in the Windows directory. It is usually best to boot into SAFE mode, delete the ShellIconCache file and reboot. Hope this may help, you can also look at the following URL support.microsoft.com Cheers, Babe. P.S. Sometimes if your fonts go 'funny' or 'mushy' deleteing the ShellIconCache file can fix that problem as well. Hey don't ask what a mushy font is ok? |
