There is a problem with creating and updating Norton Anti-virus Rescue disks on floppy. Rescue asks for disk 4 twice. Symantec know this to be a problem and posted a work-around in August 2001 on their knowledge base with the promise of 'This document will be updated when new information or a solution is available.'
To date this has not happened and I see around 542 posts to their support site with the same problem. The rescue set is now unsuable, so does anyone have a solution. The knowledge base answer is Document ID 2001080614052813. |
