| 53712 | 2002-06-10 14:29:00 | Hi all When I try to install XP, I get up to the stage where it asks to enter my name and product key (not the activiation key). Strange thing - not all my keys are working. Letters like A, G, D don't appear on screen when I hit the keyboard. Hence I can't enter my product key! and I can't cancel either. Some letters do work such as s f and h. The keyboard is fine. I am using it it to write this without problem. Any ideas? I am using a microsft internet keyboard (which I hate to admit is very good.) Thanks - Michelle |

It might think that it's some (foreign) language and the standard screen fonts don't contain characters for the codes those keys produce. Look *hard* at the hardware list it shows for your approval. (Can you borrow a bog-standard keyboard to get the damn thing installed). |
