53665 2002-06-10 10:43:00 I have another wee problem.
I have a P300, 128mb ram, and an old 3.2gb hard drive. Anyway, just over the last week, the hard drive light has been staying on. I have changed the IDE cable, tried another drive, changed BIOS settings etc yet the light still stays on.
Also when I run apps such as word and image software, the computer just freezes, any ideas?

53666 2002-06-10 11:05:00 My CDROM makes the light stay on and causes similar problems when the IDE cable isn't in completly or if it isn't powered. Guest (0)
53667 2002-06-10 14:32:00 Yep I has a similar problem. In my case, the CD burner had completely died. A new burner and the light returned to normal. Try temporaliry removing the IDE cable from any CD. Guest (0)
