| 53937 | 2002-06-12 02:45:00 | Hi, I'm looking to network 2 home pc's, one with XP Pro, and the other Linux Red Hat 7.3. Both have network cards. The latest PC World discusses a product to network 2 pc's using just a twisted pair ethernet cable. Am I able to do the same here, between XP and Linux, without needing a hub? Thanks, Mike Carroll |

| 53938 | 2002-06-12 03:20:00 | You will need to use a crossover cable to connect them. Its just a normal twisted pair cable with two of the wires switched. It works independent of the OS so it will work on anything (eg linux, win, dos, minix). You can get them at most computer places (I got mine at Dicksmith). |
