| 53857 | 2002-06-11 09:09:00 | The current issue of PC World has a fix to rid XP users of the Windows Messenger nag (see page 90). However it only works for a short time, the pesky icon reappears part way through the next session on the PC. I don't know what triggers it's reappearance, but it's more annoying than ever now! Is there a permanent fix? |

You can rc icon | Exit and/or rc Taskbar | Properties | Taskbar | Customise | set to hide when inactive. Not a permanent fix but a quick solution when the annoyance appears.Frank. |
