| 54071 | 2002-06-12 11:43:00 | from the news 'The Windows XP Service Pack Beta has been leaked. it is not the full file, but the web installer file that clocks in at about 1.7MB. The beta release of the Windows XP SP1 includes Windows Messenger 4.7 (build 31), Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 (build 2800.1050), a slightly updated version of Windows Media Player 8.0 (build 4483), full support for USB 2.0 and IPv6. Remember if you are using a slightly less than legal copy of XP you will be in for an unpleasant surprise, Microsoft has blacklisted one of the famous Volume License Keys out there in order to prevent pirated copies of Windows XP from updating. This beta will only work on English language systems and users of that popular corporate CD key will find that the patch will not install. If you are still keen you can download it from here.homepages.manx.net |
