| 54280 | 2002-06-13 22:20:00 | Hi all you linux experts... I'm now looking to use linux (RedHat 7.3) as my default OS. My current major issue relates to emails, and more especially the attachments I receive. I am using KDE3 and am currently trialling kmail, mozilla mail & sylpheed. Any other email suggestions?? Most attachments I get are M$Word (.doc) In the above applications I cannot figure out how to open these into OpenOffice (which I love) directly from the email client (like double clicking in outlook opens the document in M$Word) Any help (and suggestions on a good email client - I use TheBat on Windoze but they don't appear to have a linux version) greatfully accepted |

Otherwise, you might be able to run the free MS .doc viewer inside WINE ... have a look at www.winehq.org . It might need some experimenting. |
