54282 2002-06-13 22:19:00 How do I move icons from the desktop to the bottom taskbar and they stop there? Guest (0)
54283 2002-06-14 01:16:00 You don't say what Operating System you're using.
If it's Windows this usually works:
1. Right mouse click on the icon, and HOLD right button down.
2. Whilst holding that right mouse button down move mouse to task launcher bar - just to right of <start> button.
3. A vertical black line will appear where the icon will reside - move it as needed.
4. An option pop-up message window appears when right mouse button released.
5. select <Move Here> and left click.
6. The icon will move to the Task Launcher (Quick Launcher) bar.
7.When you have several icons in that bar, there will appear a small double chevron ( >> ) at right hand end, and this can be leftt clicked on for the extra icons.
8. You can make your own personalised menu here, and can add folders with various icons inside etc, nested like the 'Start Menu'.
9. If you want to alter contents of a folder here, then move it to desktop, add/alter/remove contents, then move the icon back to the Task Launcher (Quick Launch)bar.
10. These icons can be sorted in order to suit by right clicking and moving (same as Start menu Icons) and new position shows with a horizontal black line - just shift to where you want it, then release the right mouse button and icon stays - replacing that horizontal black line.
I have some 60 icons in this area, divided into folders such as email/internet/security and so on.
Hope this assists.
Cheers
