| 54200 | 2002-06-13 06:40:00 | Have computer which is now 3 years old. Runs windows 95. Now have hardware conflicts and can't get the computer to acknowledge the CD Rom. How do I remove all the rubbish that has been downloaded over the years? I have the original set up disks (all are floppy except W95). Floppy drive still working. All I want to do is go back to what was originally loaded when the computer was originally purchased. | Guest (0) | ||

Might be a good idea to update to Win98SE or ME as Win95 is a bit dated but you don't need to if it provides all you want. You will need to make backups of all data you wish to keep before you start. Some good sites to look at are here (courtesy of Susan B and her reply to a similar post further down the page: www.pcnineoneone.com www.windowsreinstall.com www.aumha.org www.windowsreinstall.com Take your pick!
