| 54156 | 2002-06-13 05:19:00 | From the specifications of you computer I guess that it is fairly new and therefore likely to be still in the guarantee period. It is definitely *not* normal for the LED to be on all the time. It's 'back to the shop' time. Call them first, they will probably only need to have the computer box --- you won't have to lug your monitor and other accessories in. (If you built it yourself, ignore the above, and plug the cable in the right way --- there are two rows of pins; one is all 'earths', and if you get it the wrong way round it earths all the signal lines. Fortunately, it is non-destructive). Self-help and DIY is great, but not on brand new stuff which *should* work. That's what the guarantee is for. |
