| 54157 | 2002-06-13 04:01:00 | I recently purchased a 40 gig hard drive. When i tried to auto-detect in the BIOS (AMI) my machine just hung and I had to restart. I reset jumpers on hard drive to 32 gig setting and I can now see 32 gig any time I try and autodetect the full 40 it just hangs. Is this a BIOS limit? What should I do? | Guest (0) | ||

Or visit the hard drive manufacturers site, and see if they offer a utility to make your computer see the drive as a 40 gig. Or get a newer motherboard. Or stick with 32gig Some food for thought. |
