| 54409 | 2002-06-14 10:27:00 | when i start up my computer, i get a message on the monitor screen, 'signal fail'. what am ilooking for to fix this problem? thanks for any help. |

| 54412 | 2002-06-14 12:33:00 | Lance, to answer your exact question, with the error 'signal fail', what the monitor is looking for is a 'signal' from the PC The monitor has received power, but no signal (i.e. picture info) from the computer, and is telling you so. Agree with other posters that this is usually always associated with the signal cable not being fully plugged in at one or each end. |

| 54413 | 2002-06-15 07:33:00 | Try this, just in case. First ensure the monitor is firmly plugged in. Shutdown your PC. TurnPC off at the wall as well as monitor. Turn back on and boot PC. While booting press the button on the front of your monitor to turn it on. Sometimes if the monitor is on, and the PC loses power (not shutdown, there is a comm problem. I find this method flushes everything. If this fails, it is most definitely a cable or graphics card problem, not a problem with the monitor. G P |
