| 54568 | 2002-06-16 05:07:00 | Whenever i visit a site, the site records my REMOTE_ADDR as being my Server Ip Address. I thought that it would in usual circumstances, REMOTE_ADDR would be the Client Ip Address. Now if I want to use a proxy, it still doesnt make any difference. My REMOTE_ADDR still stays the same. I want it to change when i use a proxy. Anyone know what I'm talking about and how to help me? Thanks. |

If both IPs are the same then only the REMOTE_ADDR will be logged. If it's reporting the server's IP then you should use HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR as this will always report the client's IP. |
