| 54561 | 2002-06-16 04:56:00 | Can anyone help with a pet peeve. In Word 2000 for the options on the standard toolbar like, Format, View etc there are drop-down menus. These usually appear compressed or shortened, not showing all the options unless you click on the symbol at the bottom of the box to expand the display. I would like these options to always show the full drop down list, without clicking anything else, by default. Can anyone tell me what to do to Word 2000 to get it to always show the full drop down options. Thanks. |

| 54562 | 2002-06-16 05:56:00 | Annoying, isn't it. Go to Tools/Customise/Options. Uncheck the 'Menus show recently used commands first' box. You should now have full menus. I can't think why anyone ever thought this shortened 'smart' menu system was an improvement! Regards, Ray.A. |
