| 54532 | 2002-06-15 23:00:00 | Hi, can someone help with a frustrating problem. The welcome screen for 98 just keeps coming up when starting the PC. I have unchecked the 'show on startup' box at least 20 times to no avail. I have checked the msconfig but can't see any reference to the welcome to windows screen. I do notice however that one item in the screen is ticked (setup system maintenance) if this has a bearingon it or not don't know. Also the startup folder is empty. Help wouldbe most appreciated. It opens with the box checked by default even though it was previously unchecked. As a last resort try unchecking it here and see what happens. In the meantime I'll try and find a registry reference to it. |
