54478 2002-06-15 05:48:00 5 minutes or more.

The PC is on a LAN, startup up by switching power on at the wall, starts PC, screen, printer etc. The mainframe PC has already been started.

This is the 2nd PC, OK. Here the senario. When ever I go to Start in Safe Mode, then shutdown and restart normally, it will shutdown normally, within 10-20 seconds. On the next normal startup, starts just fine, but takes about a minute to shutdown (It is now safe to switch off - splash screen, the following day, it takes 2 minutes, third day up to 5 minutes. When it hang on, the Blue screen saying something like - Windows is Shutting Down - is displayed on screen. There does not appear to be any Hard Drive activity occuring.

The 3rd PC on the LAN, starts & shutdown without any delay.

Thanks for any suggestions.....John.
