| 1304276 | 2012-10-01 01:45:00 | I have been doing a backup / archive of my computer, and I have been getting this error message: Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:80042301 Reverting to non-shadow copy backup mode. I am using the Windows backup Program. Any ideas, how to get shadow copy working again? (And how much does it matter that shadow copy is not working?) I am running Win XP - SP3 |

And if it isn't / if the COM+ catalog is damaged VSC will bring up errors | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 1304278 | 2012-10-01 02:54:00 | here's another one to do with SQL support.microsoft.com Also I believe shadow copy requires a decent amount of space available to work in or it fails, I don't think it gives that error in that case though. |

| 1304279 | 2012-10-03 09:57:00 | here's another one to do with SQL support.microsoft.com I don't have SQL installed. Also I believe shadow copy requires a decent amount of space available to work in or it fails, I don't think it gives that error in that case though. My C drive has 13GB Free and my D drive which I am backing up / archiving has 7.28GB Free and my laptop which I am doing the backup to has 61GB Free. So I don’t think it’s a space issue. Any other ideas? |
