| 1304259 | 2012-09-30 18:33:00 | Read an article on buying a wireless router and what is recommended (Article here: www.smallnetbuilder.com) Now granted I have not read Chill's blog in quite some time so he may have already mentioned this already... but if not, what do you think of this modem/router? www.ascent.co.nz |

| 1304260 | 2012-09-30 20:42:00 | From what I understand the NB16WV is very similar to the NB604N. I personally wouldn't go near it. On top of that I'm not a fan of VoIP being *in* the router either. The NB6Plus4Wn was amazing, but the NB6Plus4W sucked balls. I did some re-capping a month or two back on this on my blog over at www.c2s.co.nz but I haven't had a chance to *fully* and exhaustively test the Asus N16U which I've been starting to recommend. I've done some basic testing of it, stress testing, and it's held up incredibly well so far though. I need to get my hands on one to run as a primary device for a day or two and *really* see what happens. On top of all that though, the article you link to seems to be almost all theory-based with very little actual real-world conditions checking, or usage examples. Even PCWorld recently reviewed an ethernet -> WiFi adapter and they did some basic real-world examples. So take the article you linked to with a grain of salt ;) |
