| 1280257 | 2012-06-07 02:23:00 | Is there a App out there that has reliable road condition reports? Traveling yesterday in the South Island snow it would have been great to have up to date information. In my view the NZTA web site needs to be more mobile friendly. Need to be able to click on known potential problem areas (eg Lindis Pass) to confirm its status we'll before take an alternative route. Fortunately we have friendly petrol stations and cafes along the way that we ring for information but for visitors to NZ it should be better. | stuffed (1469) | ||

It is not a case of coming to a road closed sign. A choice can possibly be made 2 hours away of what route to take - the point of this post - need that information in a reliable App - not a web page. |

I dont know if you realised but conditions can change rapidly! I bet your one of these angry people that yell at rescue workers for taking to long to reopen a road after a serious road accident? No mobile app is evr going to be that accurate unless it is linked into the brains of the workers who decide if a road is open or not. |
