1280107 2012-06-07 01:15:00 Harking back to a thread we had a while ago, I have another couple of expressions I hate. There is an ad on TV where a woman comments about 'after I fell pregnant...' gives the impression she didn't know what caused it.

I also hate 'Sale now on' screamed at multi decibel levels, and also the expression 'For free'. What's wrong with just 'Free!' :annoyed:

Is it wrong though, "concern" has two meanings like a lot of english words, one of which is worry. Concerning could mean about or it could mean worrying.

I mostly get irritated by people who misuse common phrases or have head them wrong and altered the words to what they think it is despite it making no sense at all.
I'll try and find an example.

1280116 2012-06-07 03:41:00 Disaster or Tragedy. Like those toddles who died in Quatar. Sad for their families, but a disaster and/or a tragedy? Nick G (16709)
