Well If they can call me Pakeha to differentiate, then i should be able to call them "N" word. I think that's fair if we are all meant to be "Equal". |

| 1280182 | 2012-06-09 02:37:00 | The word itself is derived from Pakepakeha, a mythical human-like being with fair skin and hair. Originally Pakeha were the early European settlers, however, today Pakeha is used to describe any peoples of non-Maori or non-Polynesian heritage. Pakeha is not an ethnicity but rather a way to differentiate between the historical origins of our settlers, the Polynesians and the Europeans, the Maori and the other. Thats a theory, It has been raised and discussed, it doesn't hold any more water then the claim it refers to pigs. Poor form to put it forward as a fact. The word in all its forms and suggested definitions merely represents the ignorance of the primitives who inhabited these islands at that time, Its an insult to think that defines anyone in our present times. |

| 1280184 | 2012-06-09 02:44:00 | I find the term "pakeha" offensive - period. I call myself a "New Zealander" and enter such on any form when asked my nationality. |
