| 1304420 | 2012-10-02 00:02:00 | My grandparents' Toshiba laptop did the same thing, though its setup program had an annoying habit of rebooting each time it installed a program that needed it, rather than waiting and doing it all at once. My brothers was a Toshiba as well. |

| 1304422 | 2012-10-02 05:17:00 | Without trolling .. in your opinion; do you think Windows is harder on hardware with all the restarts etc? I doubt it since they will be 'soft' restarts. Starting from cold however does put more stress on the hardware. |

| 1304423 | 2012-10-02 07:09:00 | I'm sitting here glancing at my broadband modem ( running Linux ) and compared to Windows there is hardly any activity apart from when I am accessing something unlike Windows which seems to have continual activity. As well as that Linux is much more efficient at using a hard disk. I have never even tried to defrag one and wouldn't even know how to. |
