| 1279546 | 2012-06-03 07:14:00 | Noise control is a good option for peace and quiet in the neighbourhood. Yeah right !!!. Lady over the road has already rung them twice. One really needs a two inch mortar or some of those thunder flash from the CMT days, lol. Perhaps someone from the syrian army with a russian tank. All afternoon here, b u g g e r s' even park on the footpath, might go round after dark and "key" the 4x4. Eye for an eye sort of thing, keying makes a screechy noise ?. Lurking. |

| 1279547 | 2012-06-03 08:23:00 | My biggest problem is the neighbours dog, who believes he has to bark all day whenever the owners are off the property. Can't pull the plug on him, but I've been tempted to muzzle him. Once in my student days we had neighbours blasting Pink Floyd late at night. We retaliated by playing back the same track a little bit out of phase with their own music. They seemed to get the message. |

Every morning they'd put it out 2 feet from my window. Yap,, yap, yap. I sent them a letter. Then after nothing happened I rung animal control. Nothing happened again, animal control rang me. This time the owners took my suggestion of moving it round the side to the garden. I vaguely hear it now but not much. It's a $200 for them to ignore it. |

| 1279550 | 2012-06-03 11:08:00 | My situation is somewhat differant! When I say boom boom music its actually not the boom thats the problem just the volume of the music which is in all fairness classic hits type stuff. Only snag is she thinks everyone should listen to the music as well and has her stereo system outside. She should be sued for false advertising of her B&B for stating it as peaceful and friendly where you can hear the birds singing! Her racket scared off the wildlife along with here cackling singing. When they moved in several months ago she wanted to turn a retail shop into a community music centre! No consideration for her neighbours whose bedroom are on that boundary of the property. Add to that the swearing from her pet gorilla audible from the spa pool enclosed spa pool area where the stereo sits and its not nice for an 8 year old to play in her own garden either. I am hoping our unreliable power supply situation of late does scare them away or at the very least fries the stereo :) |

LL Good point here under the Residential Tenancies Act 1986 para 40(2)(c) The Tenant shall not; cause or permit any interference with the reasonable peace, comfort, or privacy of any of the landlords other tenants in the use of the premises occupied by those other tenants, or with the reasonable peace, comfort, or privacy of any other person residing in the neighbour- hood. |

| 1279552 | 2012-06-03 15:30:00 | My neighbourhood is dead quiet after the local dairy closes, since the police shut down the P lab a few doors down and the guy dealing weed out of his house moved away all the noise went with them :). I like loud music, but this modern tendency for bass above all else and ridiculously overpowered subwoofers is just an antisocial mild form of insanity. I think we should track down the owners of some vehicles, wait until they are asleep, and pipe opera music into their bedrooms. Not only are these guys annoying everyone around them they are permanently damaging their hearing. Whatever town it was that banned loud vehicles from the CBD I applaud them. |

I think that stereo noise can cause more damage to ear drums than a noisy exhaust can. It is a pity that more councils did not ban loud vehicles from the CBD. | Bobh (5192) | ||
| 1279554 | 2012-06-03 22:54:00 | Youse guys wouldn't want to live next to me then . I play LOUDLY! Very! I make sure that my nearest neighbors are hundreds of yards, if not a mile or so away from me . Bass guitar at 1000Watts has no Kryptonite . It goes through walls, concrete, forests, miles of open air and rattles the ground . I love it . When we gigged in Anza, the whole town - 7 miles away knew it . They could feel the bass, not so much the upper freq stuff though . Of course, that was a closed bowl-shaped valley . Here I am betwixt mountains that are about 15 miles apart in this area . |

They should be able to pull over cars with noisy exhausts, noisy stereos and also those damn annoyingly loud motorbikes they are much nosier than boy racers with big bores |
