Every day I see one or two when I drive more than 10 miles or so. In Montana, when you hit a deer, it's your fault and you don't get revenge. In Arizona, you get to keep and eat the deer for the damage he did to your car. In California, you've got to fill out a form to The Deer People (like The Tree People, but their favorite non-human has no legs) - and then you pay a fine for damaging the ecological balance. And you get to clean up the road after the Haz-Mat team affirms that the deer wasn't a terrorist in disguise.
