1304262	2012-09-30 20:43:00	I have 3 PCs in this home network: 1 Win 7 PC, and 1 XP Home, and 1 XP Pro I have no problem in establishing the network file sharing, they can all communicate with each other. Now, I wish to share a specific folder, say, D:\Temp in XP Pro PC with only the other XP Home PC but not the Win 7 PC. How do I do that? Can this be done?	bk T (215)

1304267	2012-10-01 10:17:00	It depends on the user account on each PC. Lets say that the Windows 7 PC is "Sally", the WinXP Home PC is "Jack" and the XP Pro PC is used by "Fred". On Freds XP Pro PC, create the user account "Jack" with the same username and password as on Jacks XP Home PC. Setup the share and only share it with him. Just don't then add Sally to the share. Easy! :) Sharing with a "Per-PC" basis? Not AFAIK. EDIT: Isn't sharing on XP Home limited? I know in XP Pro you can turn off the Easy File & Folder Sharing thingy ... Can you in Home? 1304269	2012-10-01 10:59:00	Chilling, No. There's no option to turn off Simple File Sharing in Home Edition. Just configured the PCs as suggested and it works. Thanks.	bk T (215)
