1303466 2012-09-26 04:34:00 Someone bought a AOC IPS LED screen. If the DVD screen is reduced so there is a black border around it ... the bottom left side has light glowing out of it ... it's not bright bit like if a mesh cloth was placed in front of it ... is this warranty job?

:thanks

1303467 2012-09-26 04:40:00 Is the LCd widescreen / 16:9?? If it isnt thats why. If it is, you need to change the settings on the TV to widescreen / 16:9. Is this on a standalone DVD. Or a DVD on a computer? If its connected to a computer, the settings in the video card settings are wrong Speedy Gonzales (78)
1303468 2012-09-26 04:56:00 There isn't anything wrong with the perspective, it works fine in 16:9 fullscreen. But when you use the monitor for DVD shrinked or just a black computer screen, the bottom left is some light leaking out .... Nomad (952)
1303469 2012-09-26 05:22:00 This is common with Edge-Lit LED monitors as there are LEDs placed around the edges. It is by design.

On the other hand if it were Direct-Lit LED monitor you will not have this issue and you would have paid a lots more for it as compared to the Edge-Lit monitor. There is a reason Apple Cinema Display costs more but most people think it is Apple profiteering their brand name :)
