Remember that weather here - and prolly on youse guys too - goes West-to-East . Here we have about a 3 mile drive for pretty much anything we want . BIG shopping - if we need to, is 40 miles away and straight roads all the way and just two turns: one right, one left . What's nice is that we are close- and far enough away to not bother anybody with my bass guitar . Bass notes have no Kryptonite . |

This is a Pileated Woodpecker (Dryocupus pileatus) - the largest woodpecker commonly seen in North America. He was probably eating ants in your grass - carpenter ants in decaying wood are his favorite food". Now I know what it was. |
