54929 2002-06-18 04:15:00 When I print out an email, my printer does so in such huge type that it takes pages to reproduce a brief letter. I have tried all the likely settings in Outlook Express, My Computer and on my Printer(Deskjet 840C) but can't find a way to change it back to the normal 10pt default that used to always work before it went into giant mode... 54930 2002-06-18 05:05:00 you have to change the size of the text in Internet Explorer, not Outlook Express.

Open Internet Explorer, click the 'View' menu, go to 'Text Size' and select 'Smallest'. Now open Outlook Express and try printing the message in question.

It might not bring the size back to what you see in normal e-mail messages with smaller fonts, but it's an improvement

54935 2002-06-18 09:09:00 Thanks. I went to 'smallest', but my printer doesn't like that. It's just printing computer junk. And one of the difficulties with going to 'Internet Explorer' is that it does Casino pop ups that take a lot of deleting. I have to do Con+Alt+Del to get rid of the nuisance - which is drastic. But thanks for your swift response Guest (0)

54937 2002-06-18 11:10:00 Hi Kevin,
Go to OUTLOOK EXPRESS - view - toolbar - tick formatting bar.
Format bar should now appear on e=m form.
When text entered in e-m on Format bar change font size to requirement. No need to go to Internet Explorer. Always something new to learn,Cheers
