| 54895 | 2002-06-18 00:52:00 | I have Win98SE, with an external US Robotics modem. Whenever I have finished an internet session, I close down all internet software and then close the connection. My problem is this: as soon as the connection is closed, my modem immediately begins to redial my ISP, even though there are no (obvious) internet applications open. It's more of a pain than anything else, I just turn my modem off between sessions, but I would still like to know what would be causing this problem, or better how to stop it happening. |
