54834 2002-06-17 11:17:00 At the start up of my mates PC immediately after the initial BIOS detection/test, it goes through this detecting process, and results are: RAID not found driver not installed.

How do I disable this for quicker startup? - No message comes up to acces it. At this stage he won't be using RAID, as he only has 2 devices.

Any feedback appreciated.

54835 2002-06-17 11:37:00 look in bios or press the right button when it says on screen and set the raid option to an ata controller, ie no raid. sorry don't know the wording it depends on what raid card or motherboard you have. if all esle fails READ THE MANUAL. it will say how to turn the raid off. 54837 2002-06-17 11:54:00 There should be a RAID BIOS that you can change.

When it's just about to detect the drives it shows what to press to enter RAID setup. Just enter that and see what you can do in there.
