54810 2002-06-17 08:44:00 I have to annotate a screen shot with text in white boxes and arrows.

Paintshop Pro seems to suck. Paint doesn't do arrows.

PC Graphics programs seem to be miles behind what I used to use on the Mac back in 1986 (MacPaint, MacDraw, MacDraft).

Any suggestions? Preferably shareware.

54811 2002-06-17 10:31:00 Well if you have Microsoft Word or similar the drawing utility in it will do the trick. I managed to do my first (and reasonably proffesional) website using Word. Otherwise if you have the August 2001 PC World CD there is a range of graphics utilities that will do the trick. (Mind you most of them expire) If you do you one of them Freehand is very easy to use.

Hope I have been of assistance

54813 2002-06-17 11:40:00 Peter,

I think Robo might just have that CD somewhere...

Perhaps?

:)

Seriously, Freehand is the best tool for the job, once you figure out how to use it. I managed to scab Macromedia Freehand 10 from a friend... It's incredible!

Contacts aye...

54814 2002-06-18 00:45:00 You need a program like Freehand, Illustrator or CorelDraw, unfortunately, they all cost a fortune! Guest (0)
