Because there wasnt a pwl file to start with,it isnt possible to delete it to try to get windows to bring back a logon box! There must be an entry in the registry somewhere about whether there is or isnt a pwl. If that could be found and changed to say there is then possibly the logon box will re-appear at next boot up. Today there are a few more things to try, including as a last resort a small program I found that is supposed to restore the logon box so that a null password can be entered. I think I goofed also on the Family Logon option, that hopefully may at least allow the new profile I made to be selected at start up instead the the default one with grey-out If successful I'll post back the solution. |
