| 54885 | 2002-06-18 00:21:00 | what can I do to stop my computer from trying to read from the A drive when there is no disk in the machine. It happens in any program and also when the computer is turned on but not being used. Thank you |

| 54887 | 2002-06-18 00:33:00 | That's what I woulda said. I have the same problem but I currently have no anti V - haven't reinstalled since Klez got on my system. It seems to happen at the usual points for windows 2000pro, like just before the log in box appears. But sometimes after I copy a file off a floppy onto my machine, when i access the file on my machine it checks to see if a floppy disk is in there. No error messages come up though. Brendon |

| 54888 | 2002-06-18 00:42:00 | If you have had a disk in A drive, accessed it and not moved away from it in explorer, it will expect one there for ever. Give it a disk, view it in explorer, move explorer focus away to another directory before closing. Probably other ways to fix it as well, but its only doing what it knows, to verify the fact that it had active files available there. It just doesn't know when to give up. |
