| 54827 | 2002-06-17 12:57:00 | I am all set to partition my hd so I can run 2 operating systems. The tutorial says that FDISK allocates C to first partition, D to next and so on. Can someone please tell me what will happen to my CD-ROM which is now drive D ? Thanking you...... Chris |

So in your scenario your CD-Rom drive would be E: You can assign a drive letter for your CD-Rom drive (in Win98SE: My Computer, Properties, Device Manager, CD-Rom drive, Properties, Settings, and change the Reserved drive letters to suit you). I have my CD-RW as R: and my CD-Rom as Q: Hope this helps, Rod. |
