55026 2002-06-18 10:41:00 Hi,
A friend has a Creative PC-DVD 12X DVD, and the only way he can get the draw open, is with the aid of a paper clip in the little hole.
Has anyone else had this problem, and is it serious?

How do I fix?

Regards, ALAN

55027 2002-06-19 10:47:00 I had the same problem on my old
computer the solution I just bought a new cd drive and put it in myself. The computer was a long time out of warranty I also had to replace the clock battery the floppy disk drive & the power pack.Hence I didn't buy another
Pegasus electronics machine or
commonly known as the PC Company. When you go diving into the case
just make sure you are earthed orwear an earth strap.Or of course
get the computer store to fix it but then you miss out on the joy of fixing it yourself. The answer to your first question it probably can be fixed but it maybe cheaper to upgrade and buy a better one.
Cheers
